Real Estate- The Big Picture

When one thinks of Realty and Real Estate Professionals, there are many impressions both good and bad. Some think of their dream home or land, a new business venture, or of quick financial gain, while unfortunately some think of how bad they were treated by either a buyer, a seller or a real estate professional during the execution of a transaction.

Only today has the public policy aspect of realty come to light in a greater sense because of the nation's economic issues. The effect of our country's problems however, varies greatly depending on where you live.

Many of us cannot fully comprehend or fully imagine what the impact of the Farm Bill, the Base Realignment and Closure Commission, the Ute Water Project, the repair of the Hull Street Overpass, and expanding electric generation and transmission by developing wind and solar energy resources mean in terms of economic dollars generated by, and for Clovis and Portales, and even in the outlying areas beyond, even reaching into the Texas Panhandle.

We at First Alternative Realty recognize the importance of being involved and engaged in local, state and national concerns.

Since 1991, I have travelled to both Washington DC and Santa Fe to make sure that Eastern New Mexico's voice is heard loud and clear about issues of importance to us.

So how does this relate back to you in buying or selling? Our philosophy is that a real property transaction isn't just about making the sale here and now, and then on to the next, but also about being aware of, and taking an active role in those things incident to building and maintaining long-term value and customer/client satisfaction.
