  Frequently Asked Questions

Q- Paul,Why did you leave an established real estate company and go out on your own?

A- All of my life I have been an independent business owner serving currently as CEO of two other enterprises- Farming Services Company of New Mexico (Farmko), which provides operation and management of 3900 dryland farm acres in northern Curry County, and Front Line Equipment Company, which sells farm equipment, utility trailers and appraises farm equipment.

Thus I am a firm believer in the entreprenurial spirit of our great nation. Given that, I felt I could deliver the best service by taking a very down to basics approach to customer service, and also having the flexibility to make business decisions that work for me and my family.

Q- Tell me about the motto "Where YOU come FIRST"?

A- This is coined from the TV news tagline "Where News comes First" It is my philosophy that the customer/client and their best interest should always come first, and that me and my firm should do all things necessary to effect that result, so long as they are not illegal, nor violate the NAR Code of Ethics. So many real estate professionals like to ramrod deals like a herd of cattle. My philosophy is that while you may not get the sale today, leave a good impression for tomorrow. We want the customer/client that may not have worked out today to come back to us in the future.

Q- Tell us about your backdrop on First Alternative Realty's billboards and your business cards?

A- The photo is of San Juan Mesa west of Elida. This image is not visible from approach via US 70 west of Kenna. The western slope of the mesa marks the boundary between our great plateau- the Llano Estacado and the Pecos River Basin. The image on my business cards is of the Caprock going toward San Jon, offically known as the Canadian Escarpment, which demarcates between the Llano Estacado and the Canadian River Basin. As you can tell, I am a geography buff with a great passion for promoting the Llano Estacado. I am currently working to promote it's greatest resource, wind and solar energy.

Q- I called the office number repeatedly and get a recorded message.

A- Call my (the Brokers) cell at 575-760-5461. I am frequently out of the office working.

Q- I want to send a fax, but am not sure I am doing it right.

A- Stay on the line after all the rings and the fax tones will play. The number 357-2050 is a companion number to 357-2060 and as such is not on a dedicated line. Be patient, the fax will go through.
